Benefits of Coco Bedding

  •  Holds up to five times its weight in urine.
  • Saves time and labor. The fine texture of the bedding makes cleaning stalls much easier.
  • Reduces waste!  Throw out only the manure, not the bedding.
  • No odor! The unique woody tissue structure traps the strong ammonia odor in the urine. Virtually no smell.
  • Repels flies, even when the bedding is soiled.
  • Improves hair coat. Trace amounts of natural oils in the bedding make your horse’s coat silky. It also cuts down on manure stains.
  • Hoof health. The coir bedding will not compact in your horses’ hooves. It is easy to clean and leaves the foot dry.
  • No runoff or leaching.
  • No trees are cut to make this bedding. It is the most eco-friendly product on the market!
  • Soiled coco bedding decomposes quicker than shavings. The waste is loaded with nutrients that benefit the soil, so it actually can be used as a soil supplement.
  • Cost effective. Since you throw out very little bedding, you don’t have to keep adding material to the stall.
A study conducted by Rutgers University reports that peat moss has the highest absorption among the various stall bedding products tested. Our Coco Bedding, known as "coco peat,” is much better than peat moss in absorbing the urine.
